Key Insights – Part 1
Your family’s attitudes, beliefs and behaviours shape your health and fitness habits, how you look at yourself and your behaviours. It’s up to you to become aware of these and choose another way.
The number on the scales is a poor measure for how you look, feel and perform. Weighing a certain number will not give you the body you want to have.
Dieting does not have to be hard or make you feel like s@#! to be effective and your relationship with food needs to be addressed before undertaking a bodybuilding competition. Rochelle spent 6 months before starting a prep with her coach to learn that food was not good or bad, carbs aren’t the enemy, food is not a reward and to let go of the “if it fits in your Macros” approach. Which is essentially a lot of mental effort and teaches you bad behaviours focused on “cheating the system” when not used properly.
Rochelle found that Bodybuilding had a surprising impact on the rest of her life in a positive way. Specifically, she built resilience, built confidence and trust in herself that she can follow through and created better boundaries.
